Dyna-WET - Unity
A downloadable Dyna Wet
Dyna WET Core Features
DynaWet moves beyond static environments by introducing dynamic, real-time weather effects that react to the passage of time.

- Dynamic 24H Clock: Built-in system with scalable time control, allowing for precise and controllable time progression within the game environment.
- Procedural Skybox: Offers a completely customizable sky-box solution with seamless transitions for clouds, horizon, and the full day-to-night cycle.
- Real-Time Weather Effects: Generates dynamic visual effects like rain, droplets, ripples, and puddles that change based on the current weather state.
- Lighting: The system mathematically calculates the rotation of the Directional Light (Sun/Moon) in real-time based on time and skybox parameters.
- Seamless Transitions: Features a handler that automatically manages transitions for materials and the sky-box when weather presets are changed, allowing artists to control transition times.
Sculpting Your World
DynaWet offers extensive levers for artistic control, allowing users to fully define the mood and style of their environment.
Skybox & Atmosphere Control
- Sun & Moon Customization: Define the size, color, and phase of the moon, allowing users to sample custom planet or moon textures.
- DayNight Cycle: Define the colors for day and night skybox background values.
- Atmospheric Tinting: Control how the atmosphere scatters light near the horizon using parameters like HorizonColor and HorizonAmmount.
- Cloud System Full control over cloud appearance:
- Define texture and normal maps for custom clouds.
- Control Clouds Amount, Cover, Height, Far Tiling, and Cutoff.
- Adjust Brightness and Normal Strength to control the intensity of shadows within the clouds.
Wet Material Effects (WET Materials)
- World Wetness: Accumulates a property that affects the materials, making puddles grow and shrink realistically.
- Rain Simulation: Controls the amount of rain falling (RainAmount) and the speed at which surfaces get wet (Wet Multiplier).
- Customizable Shaders: Offers a variety of material shaders to suit different visual styles and performance targets:
Dyna Sky
DynaSky comes with toggle-able 2D projected clouds, Lit by the sun and moon with customize-able parameters, and grow-able by `cloudsaAmmount`, The sky-box is totally compatible with Unity's built in fog, has Sun rise and Sunset sky tinting, simulating Rayleigh's scattering , complete flawless Day and night cycle with customize-able ambiance colors, moon card projection with lighting phase customization, and custom light coloring, Procedural stars with multiple color choices, or by a projected star-map tiling texture. Includes customize-able sun and moon trajectories from Horizon angle degrees passing trough a custom set Azimuth angle.
Dyna Wind
Is the default dynamic wind system for DynaWet, allowing all the effects (rain, clouds, and, vegetation) to receive the same wind signals of the current weather, grounding every location in the weather it's in, Dyna Wind, smoothly transitions different wind parameters of any weather. with a custom vegetation shader that uses Gerstner waves for wind volume appearance. Dyna wind is modular so you can choose to use it or not.
Dyna Light
Is Dyna Wet's high quality time system, and light controller, allowing the user to quickly choose any 24H time of day in a slider with live editor feedback, Using a GlobalSeconds as the driving factor for the current HH:MM:SS of the world. A time speed knob to scale the speed of time at the seconds level (1s*speed), and color controllers for the light
Dyna-Environment
Is the main controller for all weather effects, transition logic, and shader updates. Dyna environment is fully compatible with APV's and handles scenario transitions, using a reference time and a transition time. Handles particle systems and connections between all the necessary items for the environment to be controlled. it controls and handles all the assigned weather presets and the transitions between them It handles how rain falls, how puddles form in the surfaces, how fast they grow and shrink, it controls all the weather dynamics and light intensities and colors.
WET Material Shaders
Dyna-Wet comes with it's own set of material shaders that allow the users to get the right range of performance, quality, and style for their kind of game, and target platform, such materials allow the users to customize per object any of the WET textures used for puddle formations, ripples, drops, rain-streaks, and dry masking with a wide set of settings to allow any object to be looking unique, with the same level of quality as the entire scene.
All shaders support the next rendering paths.

Toon Wet
The Toon wet material offers a more stylised look, it Uses a Cell-Shading lighting process and a simplified BRDF with Half-Lambert Lighting method. with global lighting support using APV and no reflections It defines sharp, step-defined bounds between light and dark areas, from the main light and additional lights
Why Use It? For a specific cartoon, stylized, or graphic art aesthetic, provides toon visuals.
Performance: Offers the absolute fastest performance due to simplified lighting math, making it ideal for highly stylized performant scenes.
Baked Wet
The baked wet material offers great quality for wet effects using only baked lighting solutions, including Adaptive Probe Volumes and reflections. It is the best shader for baked environments that will greatly benefit of dynamic weather effects at a lighter performance cost, due to itś lighting constraints.
Why Use It? for optimizing performance on mobile or very low-end hardware where complex PBR is impossible.
Simple Wet
The simple wet material uses Uses a simplified BRDF with Lambert lighting and Blinn-Phong specular reflection shading methods. It includes complete real-time shadowing support.it works for dynamic and baked lighting including Adaptive Probe Volumes, and as well runs faster due to a lower lighting complexity.
Why Use It? Offers a great middle ground—good visual fidelity (reflections, shadows) without the heavy computational cost of full PBR.
Lit Wet
It uses Unity’s standard LIT lighting shader. This is the recommended choice for most projects targeting PC and Console performance, offering a robust balance between visual quality and speed.
Glass Refractive Wet
The Glass Refractive Wet Shader simulates the bending of light as it passes through a transparent medium (like water or glass). This shader allows surfaces to dynamically distort the light and the environment visible through them, creating an unparalleled sense of depth, realism, and immersion in your dynamic world.
The shader calculates the distortion based on the wet material's surface normal, and the viewer's perspective. This creates dynamic warping of whatever is visible behind as you look through the object.
Is-Static?
Dyna wet is not only dynamic! It can be static too, I know we like to create static wonders, just enable static in case you want just that perfect setting for your scene, what you set, is what you get!.
DynaWet-Setup
Is your friend, it saves clicks to your wasted mouse, One click to set it up in your scene and ready to Go!
Dyna Wet is much more than a dynamic sky-box. Is a unified solution for environment and weather effects in video games. Allowing the newcomers to play around with great visuals, and for the most experienced to chime in and do what they want, with their custom shaders by receiving the Shader Keywords (ShaderID's) that Dyna Wet Environment Controller sends.
